Stellar Birth Pangs

Deep within the yellow nebula in the center of this piece new stars are forming. It appears simple enough. But look at how much turmoil and sheer kinetic energy is required! Juxtaposed colors and textures enliven this picture. I was going for a more painterly texture for this work.
